You’ve made a mistake – it doesn’t say anywhere on the site that it’s an SSD, and in all likelihood it’ll be a eMMC. The difference is that an SSD is made of many eMMC chips, which is why it’s so fast. A single eMMC is relatively slow.

This is a real shame, because if the new one had a proper SSD I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

Hi, thanks for posting. Sorry I missed that you made this comment a while back. I trust what you’re saying for sure. I double checked the source which is from Techinstyle which is an Asus site. I’ve seen mistakes even on the official Asus site so this is most likely a mistake as you’ve mentioned. I’m wondering if anyone else has heard either way. I’m really hoping for some solid official info to be honest. I mean aside from the initial announcement.

Hi there, just to let you know the Pad 300 doesn’t have the Super IPS+ panel of the Prime but a lower spec’d standard IPS one. So when you add that and the included dock with the 32GB Transformer prime its better value to get the Prime (well here in Ireland anyway) and the 32GB TP is €599 incl dock vs €400 plus €150 (Dock)

Thanks very much for the comment. I’ve adjusted the specs. Asus initially posted the display as Super IPS+ so hopefully they fix their own specs. Thanks for visiting the site!
