Transformer Infinity TF700T release date nears with FCC submission

fcc documents asus transformer tf700t infinity tabletIt’s funny how this goes sometimes. I’ve mentioned countless times that you won’t see a release of a tablet unless it passes through the FCC (regarding USA releases). It’s the reason I’ve been saying the Transformer Infinity is not close. Up until now it hadn’t passed through the FCC. Guess what? Shortly after posting about Asus adding a Tranformer Infinity Facebook post, what did we notice? Yes, the Asus Transformer Infinity has just been submitted to the FCC! No kidding there is some great news regarding the release date. There is something now you can bank on if you live in the United States and you are deciding whether or not to wait for this tablet to be released. You now know that final stage is done, the FCC, and now it’s just a matter of the Asus marketing machine to do the rest.

You may be wondering about the 3G or 4G LTE model. It is not listed at the FCC for now. I’ve mentioned in the past that Asus has released their previous 3G tablets and laptops in European markets and never in North America. That may just change with the TF700T but I wouldn’t bank on it. It may happen but I’m not expecting it to happen. I hope I’m wrong and I only base my opinion on what Asus has done in the past. Don’t worry. If we see a 3G/4G model submitted we will let you know!

With the new and improved display resolution, does this mean that it will be more like the iPad3 display (with less colour bleed)? I defer to this comparison:
